It's Been a Year!
Well, it's been almost a year since I last wrote.  The last time I posted was June 5, 2012 when I took a job with Amory School District.  Since then it's been very BUSY.  So, I guess I'll just post a few pictures of a few things that have taken place over the last year.

My New Office
I finished up my work as Assistant Principal at Pontotoc Middle School the second week of June and began my new position as Curriculum Coordinator at Amory School District.  I spent the month of June getting to know the staff and decorating my office.

In June we decided to move.  We sold our house in Pontotoc in about a week, and shortly thereafter began searching for a lot in Amory to build our new house on.  We purchased some land in the Amory City School District and quickly began getting everything ready to begin the building of our second home.

Moving Day
On November 10 we moved our stuff from Pontotoc to Amory.  Our goal was to be in our new house on November 15.  We spent our first night in our new home on November 14.

Mary Poppins

In February Hunter and I took the twins to see Mary Poppins at the Orphuem in Memphis.

Duck Dynasty Weekend

For Hunter's birthday Robert, Misty, Hunter, and I went to Nashville to see Phil, Miss Kay, and Sy speak at Lipscomb University.  I surprised Hunt with a pie at Loveless Cafe, his favorite restaurant in Nashville

Amory School District's New Curriculum Coordinator

Well, I never thought I would write about this. I have been with Pontotoc City School District for 14 years, and after much thought and prayer I have decided to take a job as Curriculum Coordinator at Amory School District.  I never thought I would leave the district where I have grown as a student, teacher, and leader.  However, curriculum is my love, and this is a great opportunity for me.  I wish Pontotoc City Schools continued success, and I look forward to the journey that lies ahead.

The Addams Family

Hunter and I took Jackson to see The Addams Family at the Orpheum in Memphis.  This was part of his Christmas present.  Tucker got golf clubs, and Jack got a front row ticket.  After the show we dined at Bucher Shop and shopped at Target.  Hunter and I are fortunate to have two great nephews!  We are proud of them both!

Happy Birthday, Hunter!

We celebrated Hunter's 36th birthday in Memphis with Robert and Misty.  I surprised him with a Bubba Watson pink golf club.  The club will not arrive until June, so I tricked him by giving him an old spray painted pink driver.

National Common Core Conference

In April I attended the National Common Core Conference in Las Vegas.  I was fortunate to hear Marzano and Fisher speak.  I left Vegas with a wealth of knowledge and empty pockets.  The empty pockets are not from gambling but shopping.  The conference began each day at 8 and ended around 4, so Pam and I got to shop and eat good at night.  We even treated ourselves to a trip to the Bellagio Spa one evening!

This was taken at the Caesar's Palace pool right before we left to travel home.  There was no pool time for conferences all day.

Easter Weekend

Hunter and I decided to spend Easter weekend in Destin.  We both needed to get away.  Henderson Park Inn has been on our list of places to stay, so we chose this beautiful bed and breakfast for our weekend get away.  It was fabulous!  Each morning we were treated to a gourmet breakfast and unlimited snacks/drinks throughout the day.  Also, we had a picnic lunch on the beach daily.  I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet, romantic trip.  No one under 25 allowed and no children!  This place was perfect for us!

The weather was a little chilly in the mornings.

For some strange reason I like this picture.

13 Years

On March 6, 2012 Hunter and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary.  Hunt sent me 13 beautiful pink roses in a McCarty vase and took me to dinner at Park Heights.  What more could a girl ask for?
